Our office is on the first floor, at 104 in the 751 Kundewallan building over in Ajmeri Gate. It’s a busy building in a very busy part of town. We mostly deal with pipes and related fittings, things that contractors or plumbers are looking for in bulk. Being on the first floor means I’m constantly running up and down the stairs to check on deliveries or talk to people on the street level. It’s Rajasthan Pipes Pvt. Ltd. officially, but most people just know us by name. The space is filled with samples and piles of paperwork. Ajmeri Gate is the kind of place where you have to know where you’re going or you’ll get lost in the crowd. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers are all friends. It isn’t a polished corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s a working space where the phone rings a lot and there’s always someone coming in to check a price or a size. We keep the inventory moving. Some days are just about managing the logistics of getting a truck into these tight streets. It’s a lot of work, but we’ve got a rhythm down after all these years. If you need to find us, look for the Kundewallan sign and head up the stairs. We’re usually there from morning until late evening, making sure orders get out correctly. It is just the way we have always done things.
