We are based at C-20 in the S. M. A. Co-operative Industrial Estate. It is right off the G T Karnal Road. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of activity. You hear trucks reversing and people shouting directions all day long. Jaquar And Company Ltd. is quite a busy place. We deal with a lot of hardware and bathroom fittings. The warehouse is huge and stays pretty dusty no matter how much we clean it. It is a functional space. We have lots of rows of shelves. The office part is where we handle all the orders and the logistics. GT Karnal Road is always packed with traffic, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully. If you miss your window, you are stuck for hours. We have a lot of people working here, from the guys in the warehouse to the staff at the desks. It is a big team effort. We do not really go in for fancy speeches or slogans. Everyone just knows what they have to do. The industrial estate has a canteen nearby where we get tea. It is not the most beautiful place, but it is where the real work happens. We focus on moving the stock and keeping the accounts straight. It is a steady rhythm that keeps the company going day after day. We just get on with it.
