Roy Trips

We are based out of New Delhi and go by the name Roy Trips. It’s a busy city to run a travel business in, but we’ve managed to find our rhythm here. Most of our day is spent dealing with people who want to get away for a few days or need to travel for work. We don't have a giant office with a view; it’s a more humble setup where we focus on the practical side of travel. We look at a lot of train timings and car rental options. The phone rings a lot, and usually, it's someone asking about a delay or a price change. We try to be honest about what’s available, even if it’s not what they want to hear. New Delhi can be chaotic, and our work reflects that sometimes. We have piles of notebooks where we jot down customer names and dates. It's not a high-tech operation with fancy apps; it’s more about knowing the routes and which drivers are reliable. We drink a lot of chai while we wait for confirmations to come through. Sometimes things go wrong with a booking, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it on the phone. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just help people get from one place to another without too much of a headache. It’s a small team, and we just take things one trip at a time. The office door sticks a bit when it's humid, but we don't mind.
