Divine Journey

Up on the first floor at No. 71 in Dheerpur, we run Divine Journey. We’re right near Nirankari Colony. It’s mostly quiet up here compared to the busy street below. We help people plan their travels, especially religious trips and family outings. There's a lot of paperwork involved that most people don't really see. We spend hours on the computer looking for the right transport or a decent place to stay. The office isn't very big, just a few chairs and some desks pushed together. We’ve got some maps on the wall that are a bit old and faded now. People come by and tell us where they want to go, and we try to find a way that fits what they can afford. We’ve had some people coming to us for years. It feels more like helping friends than running a business sometimes. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the bookings. Things can get really busy during the festival seasons. We have to make sure every bus and train is accounted for so nobody gets left behind. Sometimes things go wrong with the bookings, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone trying to fix it. It’s just how it goes in this business. We don't have any fancy advertisements or a big sign. Most people just find us because their neighbor or cousin told them about us. We’re just regular people working here in Dheerpur, trying to help others.
