Our office is tucked away in 16/B-1 of the Hindustan Times Apartments over in Mayur Vihar, Phase-I. It is more of a residential-feeling area, which makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed than being in a giant commercial complex. We have a few rooms filled with desks, computers, and a lot of folders. Since we are in an apartment building, it’s quiet enough to actually hear yourself think, though you can still hear the neighbors or the kids playing outside sometimes. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and handling the logistics that come with being in the international trade business. The kitchen area is where we usually end up talking about the day’s tasks over a quick lunch. It’s not a corporate skyscraper with a lobby; you just come up and find us in the middle of our daily grind. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the specific block, so we spend a bit of time giving directions over the phone. We keep things pretty informal here. There’s no dress code, just people working through their lists and making sure the paperwork for the shipments is accurate. We’ve got a lot of files from over the years tucked into the cabinets. It’s a practical space that serves its purpose well. We just show up, do the work, and try to stay ahead of the deadlines that keep coming our way.
