It’s an old part of town and we’ve been here for years. The building is a bit older now, but it’s sturdy and has a lot of history for us. We run both the hotel part and the restaurant downstairs. It’s a lot to keep track of, honestly. Some days the plumbing acts up or we have a busy night with the rooms all full. It’s just the way it goes. We don't have a big corporate office; the owner is usually right here at the desk or in the kitchen. We serve simple meals that we’d eat at home ourselves. The people who stay with us are often regular travelers who have been coming to Angoori Bagh for years. We like that sense of familiarity. It’s not a luxury hotel with a lobby full of gold. It’s just a practical place to stay and eat. We work long hours to keep everything running. Idgah Road can be noisy, but it’s our home. We’re just a small private company trying to do a good job for the people in Delhi. It’s not always perfect, but we're here every day, making sure the rooms are ready and the food is hot for whoever needs it.
