Being in a colony means we see a lot of local life every day. It’s not just about the rooms and the building; it’s about the people who come through the doors. We spend a lot of time cleaning, fixing things that break, and making sure the lobby looks presentable. It’s a big building to look after. There are always light bulbs to change or carpets to vacuum. We have a lot of staff running around. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big group arrives all at once, but we just handle it one person at a time. The kitchen is usually the busiest place, with smells of spices and tea wafting through the halls. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make sure there’s a bed ready and the water is hot. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We’re on our feet most of the shift. Sri Nagar Colony is a good place to be located because everything is close by. We’ve been part of this street for a while and most of the shops around here know us well.
