This is a very busy part of the city because it is so close to the airport. There is always a lot of traffic and the sound of horns honking outside our windows. We have a lot of people coming in and out at all hours of the day and night. It feels like the building never really sleeps. We spend a lot of time checking people in and making sure the rooms are ready. It is a lot of repetitive work, like folding laundry and making sure the bathrooms are clean. The staff here is used to the fast pace and the constant noise of Delhi. We have a small office area where we keep all our files and it usually looks like a bit of a mess with papers everywhere. Sometimes guests are in a hurry and get a bit frustrated with the traffic in the lane outside, but there is not much we can do about the narrow streets. We are just a group of people working together to keep the place running. We don't have any big speeches about what we do, we just show up and handle whatever problems come up during our shift. It is a tiring job but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
