Radisson Hotel here at 27-C Pocket -A in Siddhartha Extn., New Delhi. This isn't the main big lobby you might be thinking of, but it's where we handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes work for the business. We are tucked away in the 110014 area code. It’s a busy part of the city. We spend our time making sure guests get what they need and that the rooms are actually ready. It sounds easy but it's a lot of running around and checking lists twice. Sometimes the laundry is late or a pipe leaks, and we have to fix it fast. We've been in this spot for a while now. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, but we keep things moving inside. It’s not all fancy lights and gold trim in the back offices. It’s mostly desks, phones that won’t stop ringing, and people trying to coordinate schedules for the shifts. We try to be helpful when people call. New Delhi is a tough place to run a business sometimes because everything is so fast, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for people to stay and try to keep the noise down and the beds comfortable. That's the main thing we do every single day, just keeping the gears turning so people can sleep well. We focus on the practical side of things.
