The DSIDC complex over here in Nangloi is always a hive of activity, especially with all the trucks moving along Rohtak Road. We are based at B-4, which is one of the older spots in the complex. Making moulds and tools is heavy, physical work, so our place is full of steel blocks and heavy machinery that has been around for a while. It gets pretty dusty inside, especially when the grinders are running, but that is just part of the daily life in a manufacturing hub like this. We don't really have a sales team or anyone in suits; it’s mostly just the guys in their work clothes getting things done. The heat in the summer can be tough, but we have some big fans that keep the air moving while we work on the latest batches. Sometimes the power fluctuates or the traffic outside makes it hard for deliveries to get in on time, but we just manage as best we can. Our workbench is covered in drawings and calipers because everything we do needs to be checked manually. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all appreciate. We usually take our lunch together near the back entrance where it is a bit cooler. People know us for being in this specific unit for a long time, so they just drop by when they need a tool fixed or a new mould started.
