Poshak Overseas

You can find Poshak Overseas in the basement of B. 150 in Dayanand Colony, which is right in the Lajpat Nagar area. Working in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but we’ve got plenty of lamps to keep the place bright. It’s actually quite cool down here when the Delhi heat gets bad outside. Our space is packed tight with inventory. We have rows of shelving that reach all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of apparel ready for export. Lajpat Nagar is a very busy place, and even though we are tucked away in a basement, we can still hear the hum of the market nearby. We spend our days sorting through items, checking for loose threads, and getting things boxed up for shipping overseas. It’s a lot of manual work, and we all have to pitch in when a big truck arrives. The stairs are narrow, so moving heavy boxes is always a bit of a workout. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anyone to greet you in a suit. It’s just us in our work clothes, usually with a pen behind someone’s ear and a cup of tea nearby. We’ve been in Dayanand Colony for a while now and feel like we’re part of the local fabric. It’s a bit cramped and sometimes messy, but it’s where we get things done and keep the business growing.
