Pluto Dance Academy

You can find us right by the Rani Bagh Sant Nagar Chowk in the main market. The academy is at number 25, and honestly, you can usually hear the music before you even see the door. It’s a lively spot because the market is always crowded with shoppers and vendors. We have a large room with mirrors on the walls and a floor that we have to sweep constantly because of all the foot traffic. We teach various styles, but mostly it’s just about getting people moving and having a good time. Kids come in after school, and later in the evening, we get the adults who want to learn a few steps. It’s often sweaty and loud, with different songs playing one after another. I’m usually the one fiddling with the sound system or showing a group how to get the rhythm right. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People just drop their bags in the corner and get to work. The mirrors get smudged, and the fans are always spinning to keep us from overheating. It’s a bit chaotic when one class is leaving and the next one is arriving, but that’s just how it is in Rani Bagh. We’re just a local place where anyone can come and try to dance without feeling judged.
