Contec Systems

Nehru Place is a wild place to work, but we’re tucked away at G-5 on the ground floor of the Redrose Building. Being at 49-50 means we’re right where all the action is. Contec Systems is a small shop, and since we are on the ground floor, we see a lot of people passing by our window every minute. It’s a lot of noise and energy outside, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. Our space is filled with the usual stuff—desks, a few chairs for guests, and a lot of hardware. It’s not a shiny place. The floor has some marks and the paint on the door is peeling a little at the bottom. We don’t really care about that. We care about getting the work done right. We have our regulars who come in and we know them by name. We usually talk about the traffic or how the market is doing today. It’s a very human way to run a business. We don’t have any scripts or fancy ways of talking. We just say what’s on our minds. Sometimes we have a quick lunch at our desks because it’s too busy to leave. Nehru Place never really sleeps, and we’ve been part of this rhythm for quite some time now. It’s a bit messy and a bit loud, but it’s our place. We enjoy the chaos of it all.
