We are over here at G 4/1 in Defence Colony, which is a pretty busy part of New Delhi. It is not a very big office, just a place where we handle the day-to-day stuff for Neemrana Hotels Pvt Ltd. Most people think of the big old forts and places we look after, but here it is mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of tea. We started doing this a long time ago because someone had to take care of those old buildings before they fell apart completely. It is hard work, honestly. One day you are worrying about a leaky roof in a hundred-year-old room and the next you are trying to figure out why the internet isn't working in the office. Our staff has been around for years, so we all know how each other likes their coffee. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with fancy meetings. We just try to keep things running so people can enjoy staying in places that have some history to them. Sometimes the traffic in Defence Colony makes it hard to get in on time, but we manage. If you walk past G 4/1, you might see us through the window just typing away or talking to some guy about repairs. It is just a normal office where we try to do right by these old properties we have across the country. It’s not always easy but we keep at it every day.
