Namrata Exports

You can find Namrata Exports over at G-8 in Palika Bhawan. R. K. Puram is a busy area, and our little spot in the basement level reflects that. It’s mostly just a lot of boxes and a couple of desks pushed against the wall. We spend the whole day responding to inquiries and checking on shipments. The air in Palika Bhawan can get a bit stuffy in the summer, so we usually keep the door propped open with a brick. We don’t have a big sign out front, just the number G-8 on the door. It’s mostly export work, so we are dealing with papers and containers all the time. Sometimes the couriers get lost finding the unit, but they eventually show up. There are three of us here on a normal day. We drink a lot of coffee while we wait for the phones to ring. Most of the stuff we handle goes overseas, so we have to be careful with the packing. We use a lot of bubble wrap and tape. It’s a small operation but we keep it going. No one here wears a suit. We just wear what’s comfortable for lifting crates. The building itself is old and has that specific smell of paper and stone. It’s where we do our business every day. We’ve been here long enough that the guards know us well and the routine never really changes much.
