If you have ever been stuck in the traffic near Ashram, you probably know how loud it gets around here. Our place for Manor Hotel and Amanresort is at 176/1 in Harinagar, right in the thick of things. We have been operating from this location for a while now. It is not always quiet, but it’s a good spot because everyone knows where Ashram is. The building itself is pretty standard for this part of New Delhi. We spend our mornings checking the books and making sure the staff knows what is going on for the day. There is always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a light that won't turn on. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy mission statement written on the walls. We just want to make sure the rooms are ready and the guests are not waiting too long at the desk. The local tea stall nearby is where we usually grab a quick drink when things get too busy in the afternoon. Living and working in this part of the city means you get used to the noise and the dust. It is just how it is. We try to keep things simple and honest. No one here is trying to be something they are not. We just show up, open the doors, and get to work every single day without making a big fuss about anything.
