The Travel Mud

Our office is tucked away in Panchsheel Vihar, over in the Malviya Nagar area. It’s a local spot where we spend most of our time looking at maps and booking things for people. We called it The Travel Mud because it felt grounded, like the places people actually go to. We don’t have a big corporate lobby. It’s just a couple of desks and some chairs where we sit and talk about destinations. People from around Malviya Nagar stop by to ask about train tickets or how to get to the mountains. We spend a lot of time on the phone or the computer trying to coordinate schedules. The neighborhood is busy, and we are right in the middle of it. Sometimes we have tea with people while we go over their plans. It’s not always perfect; sometimes hotels are full or flights get delayed, and we have to fix it. We just try to be straightforward about what’s possible. We’ve lived in Panchsheel Vihar for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the local vibe. The walls have some old posters on them, and there is usually a stack of brochures on the table. It’s a simple setup. We like it this way because it’s easy for people to just walk in and have a chat without feeling pressured. We’re just regular people who know a bit about traveling and enjoy living in this part of Delhi.
