Lotus Nikko Hotels

Lotus Nikko Hotels is based at B-146 in Amar Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar-IV in New Delhi. This area is famous for the markets, so there is always something going on outside our door. Amar Colony has a very specific feel to it, with lots of small shops and people looking for deals on clothes or food. Our office is tucked away in one of these blocks. The building is a bit older, with some stairs that can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying boxes. We have a small space where we manage everything for the hotels. It’s usually a bit cramped because we have a lot of paperwork and some old furniture that we probably should have replaced years ago. The 110024 area is always buzzing, so we hear the sounds of the market all day long. We have a small kitchenette where we make coffee and tea to stay awake during the afternoon slump. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the neighborhood inside and out. We aren't really into the whole corporate lifestyle. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home. Sometimes the water pressure in the building is a bit low, or the internet acts up, but we just deal with it. It’s a practical place to work and it puts us right in the heart of one of the busiest parts of the city where life never stops.
