The address is E-28/a, and getting up there involves a narrow set of stairs that can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying boxes. Lajpat Nagar is always a whirlwind of activity, but once you get up to the second floor, it’s a little bit calmer. We work in a space that’s been converted from a residential style to an office and storage area. The walls are painted a simple white, though they’ve got a few scuffs here and there from moving furniture around. We deal with lifestyle products, which mostly means a lot of sorting, tagging, and packing. It’s a lot of detail work that keeps us at our desks for most of the day. The windows look out over the rooftops of the neighborhood, and you can hear the faint sounds of the market below. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If the doorbell rings, whoever is closest just goes to answer it. Our team is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to taping up shipping cartons.
