Our office is in one of those old buildings that has been there for decades. It is not a resort at all; it’s just a small space where we manage the business side of things. Since there is no elevator, walking up the stairs is part of our daily exercise. Inside, it’s a bit dark because the buildings are so close together, but enough light comes in to work by. Old wooden desks and shelves full of folders take up most of the room. Market noise coming through the windows can get pretty loud, but we don’t really notice it anymore. We’ve been at this address in Ram Bazaar for a long time. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than a few people are in the office at once. Fancy decorations are not our thing, so we just have the items we need to get our work done. It’s a very real and busy part of Delhi to be in. Just keeping our heads down and staying busy is how we spend our time.
