Regent Intercontinental

This place is right at No. 4/70 W.E.A. in the Krishna Market area. If you know Karol Bagh you know how busy it gets with the shoppers and the cars. Saraswati Marg is always moving. We are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. Inside it is a bit quieter but you still hear the horns sometimes. We spend the day checking people in and out of their rooms. The staff is mostly local guys who have been here a long time. We carry bags up and down and make sure the tea is hot when someone asks for it. The market outside sells everything from clothes to electronics so there is always something happening. We have to keep the lobby clean because people bring in a lot of dust from the street. It’s a lot of work keeping the laundry moving and the kitchen going. We don’t have any big corporate meetings here, it is just us running the hotel. Some guests stay for a night before catching a train and others stay longer to shop. We see all kinds of people passing through these doors. We just keep the keys ready and the rooms made up. It’s a solid building and we’ve been here through many seasons. The morning rush is the most hectic time for everyone working here.
