Karol Bagh is a hectic place to work, especially around Hardhian Singh Road. Our office is at 6517, right near Labour Chowk. If you go down Gali No. 4 in Dev Nagar, you’ll find us easily enough. The area is always packed with rickshaws and people moving goods. We’ve been in this building for quite a while. The stairs are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in a few spots. Inside, it’s mostly desks and stacks of papers. We deal with a lot of different items coming from Ludhiana and other places. The phones are usually ringing and there’s always someone coming in with a delivery note. It gets pretty loud when the market outside is at its busiest. We have a small area where we keep samples, but it’s mostly just a working space. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on my desk that’s gone cold because I got distracted. We know the neighbors well, the tea stall guy and the man who runs the stationery shop. It’s a tight community in these lanes. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows and wait. It isn't a modern glass office or anything like that. It’s just a practical place where we get our business done every day. We spend a lot of time making sure the numbers match up and the trucks are on time. It’s just how Karol Bagh life goes.
