Jaypee Vasant Continental is located in Vasant Vihar, which is one of the greener and quieter parts of South Delhi. Being in this neighborhood means we get a mix of people, from folks working at the nearby embassies to local families who come over for dinner on the weekends. The hotel isn't one of those new, shiny glass towers; it has a more traditional feel and has been part of the area for a long time. We have a lot of trees and bushes around the pool, which makes it feel a bit like a hideaway from the city heat. Keeping an older building like this in good shape takes a lot of daily effort, so there is always a painter or a plumber working somewhere. The rooms have a simple style that works for most people. We don't try to be too flashy. Most of our staff have worked here for years and they know how the regulars like their tea or where they prefer to sit. Parking can be a bit of a headache when we have a wedding in the hall, but we manage. You can hear the city outside, but once you’re in the back garden, it stays pretty calm.
