Janta Hotel

You can find Janta Hotel at 112 Dildar Nagar, right in the middle of Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin. It’s a very old part of New Delhi, and the streets are quite narrow and winding. We are located care of Baba Nayyar Nizami, and Intekhab Akhtar is the one who keeps things running here. Our hotel isn't one of those big shiny towers you see in the magazines. It's a simple place for travelers who need a spot to sleep while they visit the Dargah or move through the city. The area is always crowded with people, and you can hear the sounds of the market and the prayers all day and night. We have basic rooms and we try to keep the linens clean for everyone. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We know most of the shopkeepers on the street by name. Sometimes the water pressure isn't great, or it gets a bit noisy, but that is just part of staying in this historic neighborhood. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who do the cleaning and help guests with their bags. We’ve been here for a long time and seen the neighborhood change, but our building stays pretty much the same. It’s an honest place for people who aren't looking for anything too luxury. We just offer a bed and a bit of help if you're new to the area.
