Working at Itc Maurya in New Delhi is a lot of work. The building is huge and there's always something going on. I’ve been here for a bit, and you see all kinds of people coming through the doors. It's located in the 110046 area, which is a pretty well-known part of the city. Usually, the lobby is full of suitcases and people looking for their rooms. Our staff stays busy around the clock because the place never really sleeps. It’s not just about the rooms, there are kitchens and hallways and offices tucked away everywhere. Sometimes it feels like a maze if you aren't used to it. We keep things running as best as we can. It’s a big responsibility, honestly. Most of us live nearby or take the bus in. The uniforms can be a bit stiff, but you get used to them after a few hours. There's a lot of cleaning and organizing that people don't see. We just show up and do the job. It’s not always glamorous like the photos. There are long days and tired feet. But seeing the place full of life is interesting. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from this spot in New Delhi. It’s just a steady rhythm of guests checking in and checking out every single day. We handle the bags, the keys, and the food without making too much of a fuss. It’s a living place where the work never actually stops.
