Intercontinental, The Grand New Delhi. Barakhamba Road

You might see the name Intercontinental, The Grand New Delhi on our sign, and while it mentions Barakhamba Road, we are actually based over at B-21, First Floor, in Asha Park. We are right opposite the Jail Road in the New Delhi-110058 area, which is the West part of the city. It's a bit of a trek from the main hotel site, but this is where our office team handles a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff. Being on the first floor is nice because we don't have too many stairs to climb. The area around Jail Road is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the street below. We deal with various administrative tasks and coordination for the grander parts of the business. The office itself is quite plain, just some desks and filing cabinets where we keep everything in order. We don't do much fancy stuff here. It's mostly just emails, phone calls, and paperwork. Sometimes people get confused about our location because of the name, but we are definitely here in Asha Park. The staff here has been together for a while, so we have a good rhythm going. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and head home. It's a very practical setup for us. We don't spend money on expensive decorations or anything. We just keep the focus on making sure the hotel business runs okay from this side of town.
