Working here at the International Trade Tower in Nehru Place is always a bit of a whirlwind. This part of Delhi never really seems to go to sleep. We are located right by the Parkroyal area, which is full of office buildings and people rushing around with laptops. The lobby here is quite large, and there is always a line of cars dropping people off at the entrance. We spend a lot of time checking schedules and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever is coming off a long flight. It is a big building, so sometimes new guests get a bit turned around trying to find the elevators or the dining area. We try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can. The noise from the street downstairs is constant, but once you get up into the rooms, it quietens down a lot. We have people from all over the world staying here, which makes the work interesting. One day you’re talking to someone from London, and the next it’s someone from Mumbai. We don't do anything too flashy, we just focus on the basics like clean sheets and making sure the air conditioning is running right. The staff has been here for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a solid place to stay if you have business in the towers nearby.
