Inter Continental The Grand

Inter Continental The Grand is located at P_42 South Ext 2, and if you know this part of New Delhi, you know how hectic it gets. South Ext is always buzzing with shoppers and traffic, so being here means there is never a dull moment. We are just a bunch of people trying to keep things running smoothly in the middle of all that chaos. The hotel business is mostly about being on your feet and dealing with whatever comes up, whether it’s a leaky tap or someone losing their luggage. We’ve got a team that has been together for a while, and we’ve seen all sorts of guests come through those doors. Some are in a hurry, others just want to sit and rest. We don't really do the whole fancy corporate speech thing; we just talk to people like they are people. The back office is a bit small and sometimes the air conditioning acts up, but we just open a window and keep going. 110049 is our pin code, and this neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but our spot remains pretty much the same. We spend a lot of time checking schedules and making sure the lobby looks decent. It is hard work, but it is what we do every day. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just provide a place for people to stay while they are in Delhi.
