Being at C-2/89 in Janakpuri means dealing with the usual Delhi noise every single day. We are right in the middle of a busy residential and commercial mix. Finding parking is always a headache for anyone coming to visit us here at Infosys. The office itself is compact. We have everything packed in quite tight. Most of the staff takes the metro because it’s easier than driving through the Janakpuri traffic. You can hear the horns honking from the main road even when the windows are shut tight. It’s a bit of an older building, so the stairs are narrow and we have to be careful when moving furniture around. We’ve got a small corner for making tea and coffee, which is where everyone gathers around eleven in the morning. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. It feels like a lived-in space because we spend so much time here. We don't bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a place to get the work finished and go home. People in the neighborhood know us by now. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for block C-2, but they usually figure it out after a phone call. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation in a busy part of New Delhi. We just try to keep things organized despite the chaos outside. It works for us. Everyday life here is always moving along fast. That is how we do it.
