This office is tucked away in Jangpura Extension at J-22. It’s a residential-feeling area in New Delhi, which makes the walk to work a bit more pleasant than going to those massive commercial hubs. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. Indian Hotels Company Limited uses this space for a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't usually see. It’s not a hotel itself, just where we handle the administrative things and paperwork. The rooms are a bit small, and the stairs are narrow enough that you have to watch your step. We have a lot of cupboards filled with old records and folders that we probably should sort through one day. Most days it’s just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. We don't have a big reception area with a fancy sign or a person in a suit. You just walk in and we're there. We’ve got a small window that looks out onto the street. You see the same people walking their dogs every morning. It’s a steady kind of life here. We aren't looking to impress anyone with the decor. It’s all very functional and basic. We make our own coffee in the corner and it’s usually too strong. Sometimes we stay late when there's a lot of paperwork, but mostly we’re out by six. It’s a solid place to work. Being in Jangpura means we have good food options nearby for lunch, which is helpful. We like it here just fine.
