India Continental Hotel

Our building is over at 9143/3 in Paharganj. It’s a tall, narrow place like many others in this part of town. We have a lot of travelers coming through, some staying for a night and others sticking around for a week or more. The lobby isn't very big, so it gets a bit cramped when people have a lot of luggage. We do our own laundry on the roof, so you might see sheets hanging up to dry if you look up. The rooms are basic but they have what you need to get some sleep before your train or flight. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times this year because the pipes are old, but everything works okay now. The street outside is always full of life, which means it can be a bit loud, but that’s just Paharganj for you. We don't have a big fancy restaurant, just a small kitchen where we can make some tea or a simple breakfast if someone asks. Most of the staff live nearby, so they know the area well and can tell you where to find a good meal or a cheap rickshaw. It’s a family business at heart. We try to keep the place clean and welcoming without making a big deal out of it. It’s just a place to stay while you’re in the city, nothing more.
