Imperial, New Delhi

We are located at C/48 in Nirmal Puri, which is part of Lajpat Nagar 4. If you have ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know it is always crowded and there is never enough parking for everyone. Our office is tucked away in a residential street. It is a bit quieter than the main market, but you still hear the rickshaws and the street vendors passing by all day long. We have been here for a good while. The building isn't new, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it works for what we do. We don't really go for that polished look you see in the big malls. It is just a regular workspace with some desks and old files. Most of us live nearby or take the metro to get here. We spend the day handling whatever comes our way, mostly paperwork and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or use the backup if it is working that day. It is just a normal life in a busy Delhi neighborhood. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells tea at the corner. It feels more like a community than a big business district. We keep things simple here. No one wears suits unless there is a very big reason to. We just show up and get through the list of tasks we have for the day. It’s not glamorous, but it is real.
