Hyatt Regency New Delhi has been sitting here in the 110011 area for quite a long time now. People around here usually know the building because of its unique shape and how it stands out against the skyline. It’s not just a place where travelers stay, it’s where a lot of us spend our entire day working behind the scenes. The back offices are a bit like a maze, and they look nothing like the marble floors and fancy lights the guests see in the front. We spend our time checking schedules and making sure the laundry is moving and the kitchen has everything it needs for the day. It is a lot of walking back and forth through the corridors. Some of us have been working here for years, and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over that time. The traffic outside on the ring road is always a mess, but inside it stays relatively calm and quiet. We don't really do the fancy corporate talk here. We just focus on keeping the rooms clean and making sure the lights stay on. The staff canteen is where we usually catch up on the news or talk about our families. It’s a big operation with many moving parts, but at the end of the day, it’s just people doing their jobs. We have folders full of paperwork and computers that sometimes need a little patience. It’s just busy.
