Hyatt Regency New Delhi (Hotel)

Our location is out on Palam Road, specifically in Vijay Enclave, Dabri. It’s a busy stretch of road with lots of cars and buses going by at all hours of the day. Working here means you get used to the sound of horns and engines pretty quickly. We have a lot of staff coming in for different shifts, so there is always someone around even in the middle of the night. The lobby area has some heavy rugs that we have to vacuum constantly because of all the dust that blows in from the main road. We don't have fancy decorations in the back offices, just some old metal cabinets and a few chairs that have seen better days. Every morning starts with a quick check of the rooms and the kitchen supplies to see what we’re running low on. The walk from the bus stop isn't too long, but it can be a bit of a struggle when it’s raining and the puddles start to form near the entrance. We have a small break room where the staff eats lunch, and there’s usually a debate going on about which cricket team is doing better. It’s a lot of physical work, walking up and down the halls and making sure the guests have what they need. We don't spend much time sitting down, as there is always a light bulb to change or a floor to mop somewhere in the building.
