Hyatt Hotel

You might see the Hyatt name and think of a huge building, but we actually run things out of this upper ground floor spot in West Patel, New Delhi. It is at 4/23, and it’s basically just an office where we handle all the administrative stuff that keeps things running behind the scenes. We have a few desks squeezed into the space and a lot of filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. Most of our day is spent on computers or dealing with paperwork that comes in from different departments. It’s not a very glamorous part of the hotel business, but it’s where all the details get sorted out. The street outside is usually pretty busy, so there is always a bit of background noise coming through the windows. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to stay sharp, especially on Mondays when the pile of tasks seems twice as big as it was on Friday. Sometimes the printer jams or the internet cuts out for a minute, and we all just take a breather until it starts working again. We don't really have fancy uniforms here in this office; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of typing and phone calls. It’s just a regular workplace with regular people trying to keep the schedule on track and the records straight. We’ve been in this West Patel location for a bit, and we know all the local food stalls nearby.
