Hrh Group Of Hotels, Udaipur

Even though the hotels are way out in Udaipur, our office here is actually in Janakpuri, New Delhi. We are at A1-132, which is a pretty standard street. It’s a bit funny working in a busy Delhi neighborhood while talking about palaces and lakes all day. We handle a lot of the administrative side and bookings from here. The office is usually full of maps and brochures of the Rajasthan properties, even if we are staring at the Delhi traffic outside the window. We spend a lot of time explaining the different rooms to people who call in. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and it gets a bit loud. We aren't the ones actually cleaning the rooms or cooking the food, but we are the ones making sure you have a reservation when you show up in Udaipur. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We have a small team, and we’ve all been working together for a while now. The building is just a regular one, nothing like the fancy hotels we represent. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going, especially during the peak tourist season when everyone wants to travel at the same time. It’s a practical job. We just try to keep the details straight so nobody gets frustrated. It’s our little corner of Janakpuri where we try to get things done right.
