Hotel The Spot

We are right here at 867 Paharganj Main Bazar. If you know Delhi, you know this area is always busy with people and shops. Our hotel sits right in the middle of all that noise and life. It is not fancy, but it is where we are. We have been here for a while now. The building is just a normal place where people stay when they are passing through the city. You can see the market stalls from the windows. It gets quite loud during the day because of the carts and the shoppers. Sometimes the power flickers, or the street gets a bit dusty, but that is just how it is around here. We try to keep things tidy inside. Most of the people working here have been around the neighborhood for years. We know where to get a good cup of chai or which rickshaw driver is fair with prices. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. It is just a desk and the rooms. People come here because it is close to the station and easy to find once you get used to the crowd. We keep the keys behind the counter. If the water takes a minute to get warm, you just have to wait a bit. It’s an old spot. We just go about our business every day, cleaning rooms and talking to whoever walks in through the door. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going as much as we can.
