Hotel Sunstar Grand

We're tucked away in Gali Number 7 in the B Block of New Ashok Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze back here, near Vasundhara Enclave, but once you find Shop No 1/196, you’re in the right place. This part of Delhi is very crowded with narrow lanes and lots of small businesses. Our hotel is one of those places that people use when they have work in the nearby offices or if they’re visiting relatives in the apartment blocks. The rooms are squeezed into the building, which is common for this area. It isn't a grand hotel like the name might suggest, but we try to make it comfortable enough. We’ve got the usual stuff like televisions and fans, though sometimes the electricity flickers a bit—that's just the neighborhood for you. There’s a lot of life in the streets outside, with vendors selling vegetables and kids playing. It feels very much like a real community here, not a tourist zone. We don't have a lot of staff, so you'll usually see the same faces every day. It’s a practical choice for someone who wants to stay in a real Delhi neighborhood without paying the prices you’d find in the big hotels downtown. We just do our best to keep things running and help our guests find their way around the lanes. Most people come here because it's close to the metro and the market.
