Hotel Star Villa, Star Grand Villa

Staying or working here in Rajokri means you get used to the sounds of Delhi 110038 pretty fast. Hotel Star Villa and the Star Grand Villa side of things are basically just our daily lives. We spend most of our time making sure the rooms are okay and checking people in. The lobby isn't huge, but it has enough space for a few people to sit while they wait for their bags. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, and we have to restart the router, which is always a bit of a hassle. We see a lot of different people coming through here since we are fairly close to the airport. The kitchen gets busy around breakfast time, and you can smell the food all the way down the hall. We try to keep things tidy, though with people coming and going, there’s always a bit of dust. The street outside Rajokri can be quite dusty anyway. We have some plants near the entrance, but they struggle in the Delhi heat. Most of the staff has been here for a good bit, so we all know how the doors stick or which light switches are a bit finicky. It’s not a five-star palace, just a regular place where people sleep and we do our jobs. We don't really do much advertising; we just stay open and wait for the next person to knock on the door or pull up in a cab.
