Hotel Sri Nanak Continental

This is Hotel Sri Nanak Continental on HS Road in Karol Bagh. We’re located at number 2222. It’s a funny number to remember, I guess. Living and working in Delhi means you’re always in the middle of a crowd. Our street is always full of cars, bikes, and people walking by. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers all know us by name. It’s a practical sort of place. We don’t have much room for big gardens or anything like that because space is tight in this part of the city. We focus on keeping the rooms decent and making sure everyone has what they need for the night. Sometimes the power goes out or the street noise is a bit much, but we do what we can to keep things comfortable. My brother and I usually take turns at the desk. We see all kinds of people coming through Karol Bagh. Some are here for the first time and look a bit overwhelmed by the noise. We just tell them where the good food is and how to get to the metro. The building itself has its quirks, like every old Delhi house does. We’re constantly fixing something or painting a corner. It’s just us here, running a small hotel the way we know how. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes. We don’t go for anything too polished, just a regular spot to stay.
