Hotel Shivlok Palace

You can find us at 4650 Shora Kothi in Paharganj. If you’ve been to Delhi, you know what Paharganj is like. It’s crowded, narrow, and always full of energy and noise. Shora Kothi is one of those spots where there’s always something happening at any hour. Our hotel is a typical Delhi building, tall and a bit squeezed between other structures. We have rooms for all sorts of travelers. A lot of backpackers come here because the New Delhi Railway Station is so close. The streets are loud with rickshaws and vendors shouting. Even at night, it never really gets silent. We have a small desk at the front and a steep set of stairs that go up. The rooms have the basics. We don't have carpets or expensive paintings. It’s just white walls and tile floors. It makes it easier to keep things clean. We’ve had people from all over the world stay with us. Some stay for a month, some just for a few hours before their train leaves. The water heater works most of the time, and we try to keep the tea flowing for the guests. It’s a busy life running a place here in the heart of the city. You meet a lot of characters every day. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a budget hotel in the middle of a very hectic city.
