Hotel Shanti Palace

We are situated at 7296/2 in Prem Nagar, right across from Kamla Nagar in Delhi. Our hotel is a straightforward place for people to stay when they are visiting this part of the city. We have rooms that we try to keep tidy and ready for whoever shows up. It’s a busy area, so there is always noise from the street and people walking by outside. We spend our mornings checking people out and our afternoons getting the laundry done and making the beds. The building is older, so we are always fixing a leaky tap or painting over a scuff on the wall. It is just the two or three of us working the desk and the cleaning. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a fountain or anything like that. It’s just a front desk and a place to leave your keys. Kamla Nagar is just across the way, so guests usually go over there for shopping or food. We mostly stay here and manage the bookings. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we have every room full of people from out of town. We handle the registrations, carry bags when needed, and try to keep things running smoothly. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’ve been in Prem Nagar for years. It’s a practical place to stay without any unnecessary extras. We just provide a room and a bed.
