Hotel Shanti Palace

We are over at L-53B in the Mahipalpur Extension area, specifically on Street No-1. It's a busy spot here in New Delhi, especially with the airport being so close by. People come and go at all hours, so the street stays pretty active. Most days, we’re just busy keeping things tidy and making sure the rooms are ready for whoever might show up next. It’s a simple building and we’ve been here for a while now. Some folks find us easily while others get a bit turned around looking for Street No-1 because it’s a bit tucked away. We don’t have much in the way of fancy signs, just the usual stuff you’d see around this part of the city. Being in 110037 means we see a lot of different people, mostly just travelers looking for a place to put their bags down for a night or two. It gets dusty outside sometimes, which is just part of living in Delhi I suppose. We spend a lot of time checking the linens and making sure the water is running right. It isn't anything like those massive hotels you see on TV, but it’s our place. Shanti Palace is just what it is, a spot to sleep and get some rest before moving on to the next part of a trip. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses or people living their lives, so it feels like a real neighborhood.
