It’s just us making sure the rooms are clean and the guests have what they need for the night. We spend our mornings doing the laundry and checking the registers. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets really hot in the summer. We have a few fans going and try to keep things comfortable. The neighborhood has a lot of little shops where we get our supplies. Sometimes the street gets noisy with kids playing or people shouting, but it’s a lively place to be. We are pretty straightforward about what we offer. It’s a basic stay for people who just need a roof over their heads. We don’t use any of those fancy words to describe what we do. We just open the doors every day and handle whatever comes our way. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s real. We’ve been here for years and have seen the neighborhood grow and change around us.
