About Hotel Mandakini Palace – Hotels, Motel & Resorts in New Delhi
People always get a bit lost finding us on Pusa Road because Karol Bagh WEA has so many little turns, but we are right here at 41515. The lobby isn't huge. We spend most of the morning checking the registers and making sure the water is running right for the guests. It gets noisy outside with the traffic, that's just how Delhi is. We’ve had the same curtains for a bit too long maybe, but they do the job. My cousin helps out at the desk during the night shift. Most folks staying here are just passing through for work or shopping in the market nearby. We keep the keys behind the counter on those old brass hooks. Sometimes the lift makes a weird clicking sound but it hasn't stuck yet. You see the same faces every day, like the tea guy who comes by at ten. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the laundry. We don't have those fancy automated systems, just a big ledger and some pens that usually run out of ink when you need them. The rooms are plain. We try to keep the dust off the TV screens. It’s just a regular place to sleep if you’re in this part of town. Usually, it's quiet enough after midnight once the main road settles down a little. We have a small breakfast area but it’s mostly just toast and tea.
