Hotel Lohias New Delhi

Hotel Lohias is located at A-53 Mahipalpur Ext. right off the Nh-8 in New Delhi. If you know this area, you know it is the place people go when they have a flight to catch or just landed. Being at 110037 means we are right in the thick of the airport hotel zone. The Nh-8 is always loud with trucks and taxis zooming past at all hours of the night. Our building is a simple one. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy because the dust from the highway is constant. It is a busy life here. Guests are always checking in or checking out at odd hours. We don't have a big fancy lobby with fountains. It is just a desk, some chairs, and us making sure the rooms are ready. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to mess with the generator, which is just part of living in this part of Delhi. We get people from all over who are just staying for a night before heading somewhere else. It is a very practical kind of business. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just provide a place to sleep near the terminal. The staff lives nearby, and we usually eat our meals in the small back room between shifts while watching the traffic crawl by outside on the main road. It gets tiring but we are used to the pace by now.
