Hotel Itc Maurya

Working out of Ashoka Apartments is a bit different than what people expect when they hear the name. We are in a residential building, specifically A/2-18, so it feels more like a home office than anything else. There are neighbors living right next door and you can often smell someone cooking lunch in the hallway. We handle things related to the hotel and bookings, but from this quiet corner in New Delhi 110063. The rooms here are filled with filing cabinets and a few sturdy desks. We don't have a big lobby or a doorman. You just come up to the apartment and ring the bell. Usually, the rooms are a bit cluttered with papers because there is always some form or another that needs to be signed. We have a small balcony where we keep some potted plants, though they don't look very happy in the Delhi heat. Most of our work is done over the computer. We coordinate with different departments and make sure the guest lists are correct. It is a lot of double-checking names and dates. Sometimes the internet is a bit finicky because of the old wiring in the building, so we have to restart the router. It is just a normal, everyday job in a normal building. We don't have uniforms or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and go home.
