Hotel Intercontinental New Delhi

This location is in West Patel Nagar, specifically at G-16. It isn't a massive resort, but a busy spot where we handle the daily needs of guests and the business. Most of our day is spent making sure rooms are ready or fixing things that have stopped working. In Patel Nagar, everything is close together, so there’s a lot of noise from the street that we try to keep out. We have a small team here, and we all end up doing a bit of everything. One minute you might be checking someone in, and the next you’re helping with a laundry issue or calling a plumber to fix a leak. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows each other’s names. We don't have a huge manual for everything; we just use common sense to solve problems as they pop up. Sometimes the guests are tired from traveling and a bit cranky, so we just try to be patient and get them settled into their rooms. The furniture is comfortable, and we try to keep the place clean, though the Delhi dust is always a battle for us. It’s a humble setup compared to some of the giant hotels, but we stay busy and the rooms are rarely empty. We just keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever needs a place to stay. It’s just regular life for us, doing what we can with the space we have here.
