Hotel Intercontinental Eros, New Delhi

Even though the name says Hotel Intercontinental Eros, this specific spot is at 7/640 in Govindpuri, Kalkaji. It’s a very different vibe from a luxury hotel lobby. This is a crowded part of New Delhi where the streets are narrow and there’s always something going on. We work out of this office handling a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff. There are piles of papers and people moving in and out all day long. It’s a busy environment and you have to be quick to keep up. The office isn't very big and we all sit pretty close to each other. We hear the scooters and the street vendors outside all the time. It’s just the reality of being in Govindpuri. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything like that here. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Most of us take the metro to get here since parking is a nightmare in this neighborhood. We spend our day coordinating things and making sure the logistics are handled. It is a very grounded way of working. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the office decor. We just need a place to sit and do the job. It gets noisy and sometimes it’s a bit chaotic but we manage to get everything done by the time we leave in the evening. It’s just a normal day for us in a very busy part of town.
