Hotel Intercity

Hotel Intercity is tucked away at 17A/42 on W.E.A. Gurudwara Road. If you are familiar with Karol Bagh, you probably know the area is always buzzing with people and shops. We are right opposite Jessa Ram Hospital, so we get a lot of people visiting relatives there or folks who have appointments. Being in the 110005 area means it is never really quiet. There is always someone honking or a rickshaw passing by on Gurudwara Road. We have been running this place for a good bit now. It is a typical Delhi building, tall and narrow, fitting into the street like all the others. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us. We spend a lot of time answering the phone and checking people in. Since the hospital is right there, we see a lot of tired faces. We just try to provide a spot where they can sit down for a minute. The Karol Bagh market is close too, so sometimes we get shoppers who are exhausted from carrying bags. The heat in the summer is something else, but we keep the fans going. It’s just a basic operation. We focus on the everyday things like laundry and making sure the front door is unlocked on time. It is a busy life here in this corner of the city.
